Zoom F3 + K-Tek Stingray Belt: Louis Rossmann's YouTube Field Audio Rig
This is my Zoom F3, the K-Tek KSF3 Stingray belt that carries it, & two used Panasonic rechargeable AA cells that run it. One lot.
The Zoom F3 records 32-bit float through two XLR inputs, with a dual A/D converter on each channel. You don't set a level before you hit record, & you can't clip it. If a quiet interview turns into someone yelling into the mic, it's still in the file, & you bring it back down in post. It runs off 2 AA batteries, writes to a microSD card, & weighs 242 grams with the cells in. Small enough to clip to a belt & forget about.
The K-Tek KSF3 Stingray belt is built for this exact recorder. You wear it on your waist or sling it across your chest. It has a kickstand that tilts the F3 up so you can read the screen, two neoprene pockets for wireless packs, & a rain cover that pulls out over the whole thing.
What's included:
- Zoom F3 2-channel 32-bit float recorder
- K-Tek KSF3 Stingray F3 action belt
- 2 used Panasonic rechargeable AA batteries

Why I'm selling it: this sale, along with my Sony NEX-EA50 & Sony a5100 cameras that I'm also auctioning, pays for a new livestreaming setup & for repairs to my P-Trak 8525 particle counter. I use the P-Trak to measure air quality, & I want it working so I can livestream town halls where they're putting in AI cameras & datacenters. I want to talk to the residents, watch how the city council reacts, & have some fun with it.
It's been used, & it shows wear. All of it works.
