This trackpad cable is for A1465 Macbook Airs from 2013-2015. The 2015 Macbook Air is still being manufactured into 2018.

A bad trackpad cable can

• Keep the keyboard/trackpad from working.
• Affect SMC reset so the machine cannot be turned back on properly after being shut down.
• Cause keys to work intermittently.

This cable very commonly corrodes.
