Amtech SynTECH Sn63/Pb37 Solder Paste & NC-559-V2 Flux Lot (Expired)
This is one bag of Amtech SynTECH solder paste & three bags of Amtech NC-559-V2 tacky flux. Both are past their printed expiration dates.
The paste is Sn63/Pb37, the leaded eutectic alloy that melts at 183°C, 87% metal content, 25 to 45 micron powder (Type 4, fine enough for small-pitch work), in 35 gram syringes. It carries a manufacture date of August 2023 & an expiration of August 2024. The flux is NC-559-V2, the no-clean tacky flux a lot of board-repair people already keep on the bench, in 30cc syringes, dated February 2023 & expired February 2024.
What "expired" means here: solder paste & tacky flux don't turn into a pumpkin on the printed date. Paste can separate or thicken & flux can dry out as it ages, so this isn't fresh production stock. People still run material like this for practice boards, hobby work, & non-critical rework. It's sold as-is at a price that reflects the dates. Test a syringe before you trust it on a board that matters. I still grab from this for when I want to do work.
What's included:
- 1 bag of Amtech SynTECH Sn63/Pb37 solder paste, 35g syringes, 25 to 45 micron, exp. Aug 2024
- 3 bags of Amtech NC-559-V2 no-clean tacky flux, 30cc syringes, exp. Feb 2024
Why I'm selling this: the money buys equipment to document what happens around datacenters. I want to measure pollution levels near datacenter sites, & I want to livestream & record the city hall meetings where residents & councils fight over whether these things get built. I'm putting together a setup to do this work.
Louis will include a handwritten autograph with comments!
