Mechanics LY-UVH900 10ML Green UV Solder Mask Conformal Coating

Solder mask insulates against electrical connections. 

Solder mask does not allow solder to stick to it. It is why you can solder to a solder pad, but not to the board itself. It does not conduct electricity. 

LY-UVH900 is Louis' choice of solder mask.

LY-UVH900 is used to

• Insulate jumpers.
• Cover exposed ground around BGA chipset pads.
• Cover leads of components you do not want to touch a jumper. 
• It is heat resistant. Apply a small amount using a toothpick, then cure in with UV light. We also sell a UV "nail salon" style light to cure the green oil mask.

LY-UVH900 cures via UV light, not heat or time, easily applied by a toothpick. 

Many insulating materials require time to "dry." This sucks - you have to work now. Many are manipulated by heat - also sucks, we use heat to solder.

This cures via UV light. You put it where it must go, UV it, and then can continue about your work: WITHOUT having to worry about where heat is going.
